Dirt Maidens

Who we are

We are a group of passionate volunteers who love biking and have big dreams to help our community. We are building our programming to support more femme, women, trans, and non-binary representation on the trails.

Our Mission

Dirt Maidens is an inclusive, intersectional, powerhouse biking and trail stewardship organization led by and for femme, women, trans, and nonbinary people (FWTN-B) that provides mountain biking, gravel biking, bike packing, and trail building opportunities in Kalapuya ilihi and
surrounding areas (the southern Willamette Valley).

Kalapuya ilihi means the homelands of the Kalapuya people. We acknowledge that we all live, work, and ride
on Kalapuya ilihi and the homelands of other Indigenous communities, including the Alsea, Molalla, and Confederated Tribes of the
Grand Ronde and Siletz.

Our Story

Dirt Maidens started with a simple Facebook post – anyone want to ride this weekend?

Occasional posts turned into regular, planned group rides, bringing FWTN-B folks together to test and develop skills in a supportive and growth-based environment.
Our approach is to support FWTN-B folks at all levels of riding skill and to encourage community within the mountain biking world. We offer an inclusive space to push and grow biking skills with a community cheering them on.
